act without hesitation

More powerful advice from SAO today.

Was this stuff around years ago? Or  I just listening?

One thing I,have taught myself is to push aside the voice that delays action. EG. During my month in the outback, when I had more time for self care, I got into a morning routine that went something like: coffee, feed pets, coffee, 5x50 (pushups, squats, lunges, plank & wall sit), 4x20/30 weights), the a walk or ride, finishing up on the outdoor gym (30xchair squats, butterflies?, leg extensions, chin ups) & a rum on the flying fox slide, then a simple breakfast.
At home I have continied. One thing I have found notable is that each morning I Just Do It, as the advertising slogan goes. IE: when its weights time & that lazy voice says "no have a day off" or, "oh god not this again", I just push on. As SAO says, I just act. My mind had developed its ability to say " shut up Mr Negativity!". I know that I have to just do X & I will be rewarded by feeling great that day & have a better health profile at the end of the month, year, however long. And, with action, & the shutting off to negativity comes growth in other areas; my healthy body feelings that i enjoy daily, make me strong to not give in to Junk Food binges. I know that transforming to better health is a slow, steady & disciplined path & that junk food undermines. It weakens not just your immediate good health, but that voice that I am developing that says "Yes!" to exercise.
This reminds me, I have also developed an outer voice to spur me along. Each session as I complete 10 reps I say "ten" out loud, or "twenty, thirty" whatever stage I am up to. Then as I complete the series for each discipline I bark in a loud Sargeant Major-type voice; "Fifty! Done! Good Work!". No bullshit is a new motto.
As SAO advises, " You don't need to have it all worked out", ahead of time. Just act, do what you think is right, there is wisdom or teaching, in the doing, the action. I'm leaving myself open to "The Force" if you like, just knowing that I am moving, acting, going in a right direction & allowing (previously unknown) growth to emerge as we go forward. I recall as a kid, surfing was a major part of my day; two hours, six hours, weekend travel, whatever. I recall there was no negative voice, it was all just a mad adrenalin rush. Eyes open, I'm going surfing, or surfing, or eating, sleeping whatever to restore myself. That self-drive was so finely honed that I was not conscious of it being there. There was no belief that I would not Act in this way.
Take Good Care & Cheers.
