1 august: park run 2, complete Shanti

Big mistake making a banana wrap for breakfast, before running. I carried it like a gut brick all the way, and felt like crap. I talked to a woman afterwards who did the same, but "left her breakfast" in the scrub after her run. So next week, one cup of coffee only!  I met "The Doctor". A tall fellow who walks with stiff knees. He tells me its arthritis, untreatable, and kept at bay by healthy living. Couldn't guess his age, may be high 70s, and he's done a couple of hundred Park Runs.  Afterwards, I met Chris, another oldie, but I'd say in his 80s. He beat me and runs very awkwardly even though he ran the London Marathon in 1983 and has been running since. He's up to 180 Park Runs. My own run, despite feeling heavy, was a minute faster per Kilometre than last week. So 33mins, but I think I have a not more to give. I only started running each day  week ago. But I'm mainly in it for the fitness and to meet people.   At home, I refitted chain plate...
