high rise bars

After a few false starts I finally collected my extended clutch cable from the workshop. In future I'll make my own, but anyway I fitted it up & for time got to ride my chopped Shadow. That's apehanger bars, skinny seat & 2.5" lowered rear end, & it felt really low & not as rocky as I'd imagined. Yep, at age 63 I still "fear" what I imagine even though I've disproved it so many times. 
 Funny I was reflecting ony last bike with hi rise bars, that was over fifty years ago. I fitted a dragster bike that I found with high wide bars. The police bike safety team rolled into school & measured all the bikes on the school. The legal width was under 26", my bars were 33"! As I said, of they'd done a serial check, that bike would have come up as lost or stolen. 
I've been so good ever since & it hasn't really helped me, I'm always being used. No more of that crap, I work out daily & my new attitude is FTW.

a skin thing?

As a surfer from my childhood years I escalated to surfing most days. If i wasn't surfing I was just going on or out of the surf, or at school or in latter yesrs work. Some school days would see me run home from the beach dripping wet, stuff cereal down & jog to school. At lunch break I would grab a bike & get a surf in.  On my twenties i took up sailing. If I wasn't actually sailing I would be working on my boat getting things ready. I spent two enjoyable winters on the tropical north.  In later life, I've mowed lawns for an income & continued to swim & sail when I can.  As old surfers know, there's a toll on your skin. On the day a gunman nicked ex president Trump's ear the world politcians decried violence as evil, undemocratic & so on, more than 39 people were killed in Palestine. These events highlight mass hypocrisy across the world with regards violence & race.  No one in the media industry will ever mention this hypocrisy.
