FRIDAY comes around again! The clock is turning towards 5am & the ta so discussion is talking rapidly about "Google-ization", a reliance on a single source of information for learning and research.  Over-dependence on technology   & the impact on mental,  emotional & physical health. Myself? Yes,  I've slipped into a routine of heavy use of technology,  as I've turned the tv off, "funny videos" on my phone are being allowed to fill space.  I need to not do that,  even if it's wet outside.  It's an unhealthy routine. 
0759hrs: After waking at dawn,  naturally & without cat antics,  I began reading a new e-book "Donkey Dreaming: A Year in the Bicentennial Trail". The author's bio' interested me straightaway: Waldorf school teacher,  hiked the Camino & various other non-consumerist pursuits.  By the time they got at the trail head & I allowed myself to sleep,  I'd become rather tired.  Hence the sleep in,  but with earplugs in that sleep was very restorative. 
It's been raining,  but is clearing.  It's very calm & the light soft,  with bird calls resonating through the forest.  It's quite wonderful.  I do want to mow Keppies & finish the trailer work, I'm hoping the little rain we've had has soaked in & will not effect mowing.. well see.
10:58hrs. Called by Julie asking if i will take on C* as his placement had broken down.  I was a little resistantc to engaging with department,  but am ever so slightly softening,  the biggest obstacles to success being the department & his parents.  Joe was immediately opposed too, based on isolation issue & his needing to attend school etc.
Weather has not eased,  so a wet walk or ride is in order. 
Dogs walked for 30 min.  Then Mia needed a hand loading Parker & a companion for a "cheap" vets scan of Ps gut. He does have ulcers & needed $600 medications given at intervals through the day.  She leaves Sunday for four days....
A positive was  that I got to buy hardware for garden & boat.  At home I worked on Lurgy (reefing, dogged off the winch cable etc).

Bought a 1.5l  Camelback from Anne B, Canberra for $30, worth $120. 

 Finished with fence repair s.
Made roast veg & cous cous.

a skin thing?

As a surfer from my childhood years I escalated to surfing most days. If i wasn't surfing I was just going on or out of the surf, or at school or in latter yesrs work. Some school days would see me run home from the beach dripping wet, stuff cereal down & jog to school. At lunch break I would grab a bike & get a surf in.  On my twenties i took up sailing. If I wasn't actually sailing I would be working on my boat getting things ready. I spent two enjoyable winters on the tropical north.  In later life, I've mowed lawns for an income & continued to swim & sail when I can.  As old surfers know, there's a toll on your skin. On the day a gunman nicked ex president Trump's ear the world politcians decried violence as evil, undemocratic & so on, more than 39 people were killed in Palestine. These events highlight mass hypocrisy across the world with regards violence & race.  No one in the media industry will ever mention this hypocrisy.
