Small Jobs - Getting closer to cruising trim. Big Adventure Ahead
* The completed galley box was introduced to Clancy this afternoon. The vertical clearance is a big of an issue, but its workable.
* Tidied VHF wiring.
* Hinged the centreboard cover. This fixes it in place against my concern for losing tools or other stuff down the chute.
Coming up:
1. fix Captains Chair in place.
2. get the trailer registered. Following the storm I ordered 4 tonnes of gravel and have been repairing the driveway. Woohoo.
3. Go cruising and try things out on the water.
Big Adventure Ahead
On Thursday this week I bought a return air ticket to Madrid, Spain. I plan to walk the Camino. de Santiago, 850k over about 8 weeks
Everything I've read indicates that walking the Camino Frances opens up new possibility for big adventures as personal confidence soars.
Returning mid-November, late spring I hope to get onto cruising, culminating in a send off sail to Sydney to watch the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. If all goes to plan, a larger Norwalk Islands Sharpie, the BRUCE KIRBY will be sailing in the race, skippered by none other than NIS builder, kits and plans seller, Robert Ayliffe of Mount Gambier SA.
