Joe ryan + YouTube

It seems like everytime I find a half decent channel the subject goes; quiet, too up themselves or full-on drama llamas. 
Rarely do you get someone that remains consistently humble yet moderately engaging. I have a wide range of interests related to modest solo travel by foot, bike, sail boat or motorcycle. I've literally given up TV & have never watched tik tok or any other socials, & youtube pickings are slim.
Fortunately, every now & again you find a channel that works. I've just turned away from Million Dollar Bogan for the second & final time & had a huge gap in my watching. Then I discovered Joe Ryan. A motorcycle based solo traveller. I'm working through his older stuff & its really well filmed, not commercial & without manufactured dramas. I have peeked at his new stuff & although his playground has changed, his modesty remains. Fingers crossed.

PS: I commented on one of Joe's older posts. He had ridden a loop through desert NSW, coastal Vic & a loop of the island state, & on the way homeward bound his clutch began to act up. A long distance rider on a Himalayan, the same as Joe's, had a clutch failure in the actual Himalayan region. So I asked Joe how it turned out. He wrote back the same day to thank me & reported that it was still fine after 30 000 extra kilometres. How impressive!

a skin thing?

As a surfer from my childhood years I escalated to surfing most days. If i wasn't surfing I was just going on or out of the surf, or at school or in latter yesrs work. Some school days would see me run home from the beach dripping wet, stuff cereal down & jog to school. At lunch break I would grab a bike & get a surf in.  On my twenties i took up sailing. On the day a gunman nicked ex president Trump's ear the world politcians decried violence as evil, undemocratic & so on, more than 39 people were killed in Palestine. These events highlight mass hypocrisy across the world with regards violence & race.  No one in the media industry will ever mention this hypocrisy.
