beauty of the soul

This glorious soul Gill Hicks, spoke on Anh Do's program (ABC TV) today about surviving a terrorist bomb explosion on a London train.

She spoke eloquently, beautifully about choosing between the mistress of death luring her: "You've lost your legs, you don't want to live like that. Come with me." Gill described the persona she heard as being gentle and alluring, very tempting. But "then an angry male voice" over rode death urging Gill to fight for life. Gill commented that although she could easily have gone with Death, she feared having to tell Life of her decision.
its an interesting phenomena, death as an alluring & female, that life comes as aggressive, urging is to fight on despite the temptation to give up. Powerful?  Gill Hicks ref TED Talks
