going west pt2

As each day passes ...
I am becoming increasingly keen on making the shift. Depending on whether I sell up or rent this place out, leaving will provide either a regular once or a great deal of spare cash ... which will need to be reinvested so... Anyway, I'll be financially liberated & wont have to keep working at my current job. Out there I have options to; build, repaír & recondition either a shed or house, motorcycles or boats. I also have the choice to travel by bike or boat as well.  

Researching housing options ...
I fairly quickly realised that options in said small town will be limited. In the past few weeks, nothing new has emerged on the market. Even though there are many abandoned or vacant homes. 

Refining my preferences ... 
The lack of options has encouraged a certain flexibility in chosing a type of dwelling. One thing is clear, I don't want to live in a house!  Please see why this is below.   

How life there may look out there ...
The initial motives for the move were; to be nearer my daughter & her boyfriend, to enjoy the relaxed western lifestyle & cheap real estate.  The list of reasons has grown the longer I've considered things. At the moment, I'm thinking of:-
* a low maintenance dwelling like a tiny house, shed or workshop to maximise free time, limit expenses & provide space for my interests.
* working at shaping the perfect dwelling, then on motorcycle & boat projects. Depending on finances, these projectsay be directed at generating an income or preparing for travel. 
* depending on the point above, my necessary work hours will be limited - hopefully a couple of days a week.
* regular holidays (due to the heat, the west is a good place to avoid in summer). Otherwise, I will go on sailing trips & bike tours of a month or more at a time.

a skin thing?

As a surfer from my childhood years I escalated to surfing most days. If i wasn't surfing I was just going on or out of the surf, or at school or in latter yesrs work. Some school days would see me run home from the beach dripping wet, stuff cereal down & jog to school. At lunch break I would grab a bike & get a surf in.  On my twenties i took up sailing. On the day a gunman nicked ex president Trump's ear the world politcians decried violence as evil, undemocratic & so on, more than 39 people were killed in Palestine. These events highlight mass hypocrisy across the world with regards violence & race.  No one in the media industry will ever mention this hypocrisy.
