hi costs of living

Where I live in the most populated state of Australia, we are up against rising costs, "fees" and taxes that ate probably the highest in the world. 

Whether its fuel tax or gouging on traffic infringement fines, state and federal governments are raking cash from what little the poorest dwellers have in their pockets. 
 Today, the headlines in the Australian do the bidding for the NSW government, whining over the rough deal they get from national tax revenue redistribution. The feds take a cut of everything we purchase and at times divy up this smong the various states and territories. And apparently, (depending on how you look at it), NSW's income was cut. 

Of course every thinking human jellybean would quickly see that this will see the people of this state raked over for more state revenues. The higher income "earners" who profit from government scams, or schemes, to encourage private investment in housing development and land degradation, will have their whine but won't spill too much wine over it. The real losers are those of us on minimum wage. If you have just $150 each week to spend on non essentials, a parking fine or whatever, is going to knock you silly. Whereas if you have a few grand spare at the end of each week, you will do one of two things; spend money on a legal defence or pay the fine from petty cash. 

Its the old story, if anyone has a bad day, its the dog that ultimately gets kicked in the arse.

a skin thing?

As a surfer from my childhood years I escalated to surfing most days. If i wasn't surfing I was just going on or out of the surf, or at school or in latter yesrs work. Some school days would see me run home from the beach dripping wet, stuff cereal down & jog to school. At lunch break I would grab a bike & get a surf in.  On my twenties i took up sailing. If I wasn't actually sailing I would be working on my boat getting things ready. I spent two enjoyable winters on the tropical north.  In later life, I've mowed lawns for an income & continued to swim & sail when I can.  As old surfers know, there's a toll on your skin. On the day a gunman nicked ex president Trump's ear the world politcians decried violence as evil, undemocratic & so on, more than 39 people were killed in Palestine. These events highlight mass hypocrisy across the world with regards violence & race.  No one in the media industry will ever mention this hypocrisy.
