beto paniandi's manifesto

To summarise Beto Pandiani's feats would take a while and most are unknown. He is the "out there" guy that sails small catamarans at speed over vast distances. 
This is his latest craft. Notice hiking seats, deck tent and fast sailing capabilities. It was not always so flash, but Beto's way is to move towards perfection, fit for purpose. 
On his page he shares a "prayer" which he recites daily. Unfortunately, the translation from Portuguese is clunky, so I rewrote it in words that work for me. I urge you to do the same.
ALWAYS LEARN
* l will not assume the truth and will listen to others without judgement.
* l will remain aloft in the presence of ignorance.
* l will remain consistant with my beliefs. 
* l will have compassion for others and heed the lessons from their suffering.
* Remember we were created to give not beg.

TREASURE TIME
* Always travel light.
* Treasure every second as a miracle of life and those past events that brought you to this present moment.
* I will not waste time for I know not my departure day.

LIVE TO YOUR POTENTIAL
* I will use the power of my will to achieve lofty purposes
* I will banish any negativity and allow light to flood into my very being.
* I will transmute any fear or obstacle that would hold me back.

ALIGN WITH THE FORCE
* Remember I live in a blue droplet floating in a vast infinity. 
* Remember I share this ecosystem with all living things.
* I remain grateful for the invisible graces and forces that manifest through me.

a skin thing?

As a surfer from my childhood years I escalated to surfing most days. If i wasn't surfing I was just going on or out of the surf, or at school or in latter yesrs work. Some school days would see me run home from the beach dripping wet, stuff cereal down & jog to school. At lunch break I would grab a bike & get a surf in.  On my twenties i took up sailing. On the day a gunman nicked ex president Trump's ear the world politcians decried violence as evil, undemocratic & so on, more than 39 people were killed in Palestine. These events highlight mass hypocrisy across the world with regards violence & race.  No one in the media industry will ever mention this hypocrisy.
