what to make of it all?
I'm going to resist the urge to analize normal or coincidental events.
But I do wonder because I've never misplaced so many things on such a short period.
The news gets worse with my Kindle gone MIA, but at least I found my knife.
So what I've lost & how:-
Black fleece which was outside my pack during a bush bash. The lesson = secure your load.
Stick was left in a cafe. I simply forgot it for a few minutes & chose to leave it. It was secretly annoying me.
Towel stuffed outside my pack. I was careless, it had been dangling & probably snagged on something, though a neighbour could have helped it.
Sock was pinned to the pack. The pin spring open. Solution is same as the fleece.
Cash, as I poked it on my pocket I considered it risky but knew I'd be stopping soon. Yes, my bad, but the plastic springiness of the Euro helped it work its way out.
Kindle was left on a bed probably, or flipped from an open zip.
There isn't really any common failing other than busy-ness & fatique. Two and a half weeks, 500 kilometres, albergues, planes, buses as well as negotiating all types of terrain. I can only suggest I be more careful at all times.
