a rest day - 20k to RELIEGOS

Great to have spent the night on care of AISTRSLIAM HOSTS, HELEN & JOHN from Cairns. 

But up & away at before 7 to cover 20k to Reliegios. Frankly this morning's walk was a little flat, in reality & nature. 
The same tree arcade featured, same moon, Venus in the east, but there was cloud, the road a bit too straight. 
Meverthrlss. I had a break at a picnic bay along the way. Day old bread, half a tomato. Did the job. 
I arrived at my destination early?! Waited & entered the Albergue around midday. By 1433, now, I've hand washed   everything I can, showered, rested & eaten an "Atun Ensalada" ,(Tuna Salad). This one had grated carrot, no egg & less bulk than my last, but it fit the bill well. I can now lounge around & rest till manana. 

LOST THINGS CONTINUED
So up till recently I lost; stick, fleecy, towel, cash & a sock. 
Then in the shower just now I lost Robyn's Ring. I was gelling up, the light went out on auto & it slid off my pinky & shot down the drain. Luckily, I was able to retieve it by removing the little drain cover. 
This time, there was no wrongdoing on my behalf: I had soaped my hand, the ring had never come lose before and I have lost weight. But it did make me reflect on stripping life down to its most basic necessities. 

May be I should revisit my luggage?

trip west pt 2

Its the day I leave my daughters place with some sadness & begin a solo drive 100+ kilometres south west. I'll skirt desert lands, seek off piste roads if possible & dawdle at cool places. I know that the main highways will not provide. Let's go! But first some exercise & oats.  1000: my daughter pops in for morning tea (her) & breakfast (me). While we sat talking my son called to report that he had scored a full time position with a local fire management mob. This is huge, his first independent job since finishing homeschooling some years earlier. This news buoys my mood for the day; having him at home will lessen my responsibilities feeding pets & remaining close to home. After I motored almost across the state, my daughter calls to report that her seniors have asked her to apply for several positions on Council that she might prefer.
