16/10 Triacastella to Ferreiros (38.5k officially but I'm calling it 43 due to a detour to Orton)
Leaving lovely Tria with no coffee was a mistake. There was a series of dirty rises straightaway. But this Pilgrim has learned, shut up, lean forwards & dont stop.
Along the down section, I met a fellow in yellow top.in fact he was blocking the Camino arrow. I went down a steep gravel drop off when he accosted me saying "its too difficult. This way is easier". It was my Pilgrims Progress Classic.
Coming off elevation into a dairy farmers village, where a sick mouse was found, I located a bar. Already a few hours in without sustenance, I ate a small Toblerone from a vending mc. This time I grabbed coffee & toast with jam & butter.
Later I discovered a parasite town before SARRIA, I bought groceries including grapes while a group of ladies including the shop operator, sat around chatting.
SARRIA was not so big but had plenty of albos. Earlier I decided to push through, & regretted it. For 20-25k there as nothing but dairy farming villages, no shops, bars or albos.
At this place it was only bec the Albo by the road referred me, that I found it. There no signage at all. But quickly enough I got installed: shower, laundry, lunch. Ahh.
WiFi is a pain due to the system for joint Albo access wants to SMS me a code & I can't find it!?
Well I do have a bed & shelter, a shower & kitchen.
Unfortunately the high number of women has; a) given then girl power, & turned a macho guy in their favour. So, at 21:00 we have lights on, tottering & no sign of quiet.
PILGRIMS PROGRESS is a staunch ally when walking far & awaiting a house of rest, as well as when living among selfish & shallow ppl.
