15 0ct: herrerias up o'cebrero down to Triacastella 29.1k 1300m up, 1100 down

Bookings are a feature today, i booked 7am breakfast & have to wait & i have no fwd booking for a bed.
The other feature is the elevation. Elevation on the legs, but also getting closer to the Celestial City. The App describes a hellishly steep trail layered with mud & horse manure which makes it sound very attractive. NINJA app says 1300m gain, 1100 loss over 25k.

I strolled uphill from the @ last evening & was surprised to recognise how quickly height is attained. My legs are like pistons of late; I enjoy ascending. So this day is made for me, lean foward & work.

morning off: coffee, bread & jam, ho him but I did like salty crackers & sliced apple. Walking with phone torch, up we go. There was a steady hard surface climb until the real deal; rough, clay-ish & horse poo, but in bouts that really kept going well after E Cebriero.

Saw an under house barn for dairy cattle, dairies were a common recurrence today. Coming into O Ceb there was a Galician piper, for we were now in that state.
The bit after O Ceb we went down mostly for the rest of the day. I so looked fwd to stopping at FOTOBOL but the @ was cerrada.

church coming off OCeb, bike & dog to right.

So onto TRIACASTELLA. the walk here was literally between dairies, barns, paddocks etc. The smell of cow dung pervasive & good.
The @ here is good, the Ho. is a serious guy & is into the Camino & is here to serve.
After logging on & sending vids to Mia & Julie. I then checked the prospects of returning home early, it may not have a fee. I can get to SARRIA tomorrow & am aware that the people crush might be really annoying. I'm no way considering not walking into SdC, just after that. Will it be too congested to enjoy?
