OK, they're funny photographers but they made it. Excited for them.

Meanwhile, ive gone through my pack; cleaning, sorting and even repairing the contents. The nerves are beginning to rattle me rather than tingle. I love my life here, its comfortable, slow, easy and relaxed. To stuff myself into a 747 amdflyong 26hrs before landing in Madrid, before dashing to the bus terminal for a six hour ride to another major city far from home is far outside my comfort zone. 
To get back here I have to walk 840k carrying all my worldly goods, staying in crowded hostels for 60 days before flying home again.
Ive no doubt it will be a life changing "event".

a new boat - Norwalk Islands Sharpie 18 "Clancy"

trip west pt 2

Its the day I leave my daughters place with some sadness & begin a solo drive 100+ kilometres south west. I'll skirt desert lands, seek off piste roads if possible & dawdle at cool places. I know that the main highways will not provide. Let's go! But first some exercise & oats.  1000: my daughter pops in for morning tea (her) & breakfast (me). While we sat talking my son called to report that he had scored a full time position with a local fire management mob. This is huge, his first independent job since finishing homeschooling some years earlier. This news buoys my mood for the day; having him at home will lessen my responsibilities feeding pets & remaining close to home. After I motored almost across the state, my daughter calls to report that her seniors have asked her to apply for several positions on Council that she might prefer.
