going west

After successfully repairing the Forrester I needed to hurry west for 440k with three dogs and inflatable kayak.

The drive was a lot about keeping the dogs quiet, fed and watered so we had lots of rest stops. These were invariably taken away from the main road so as to avoid car strike. And I am relieved to report it all ended up very well. At Mia's after dark, I have them a good opportunity to explore their yard for the next months or years for Sam & Brandi.
I grabbed sandwich fillings and made a.few coffees while marvelling at the stupidity and fakeness of commercial television.
The beauty highlight of the day was looking up along the ranges east of Wellington, just as it was going dark and seeing the massive wind generators spinning slowly against the wind.
