"peace train" vision

I just had a (day) dream of my next boat, calling her Peace Train. 
Robert Ayliffe, boat builder, design seller, raconteur amf nice old guy, called last night saying  he'd "found" the last boat he built. CLANCY is in ACT and is a well regarded boat with some racing successes at Marlay Point and is regularly sailed on Lake Burley Griffin. A British Racing Green coloured ketch on a good trailer. He will email an inventory and photos today. 
I looked her up online and saw the owner and son raising the masts in their tabernacles, and with other NIS tacking about one another with great ease before speeding off across the lake. 
Thinking the price was over budget (negative thinking) I've since realised she's not and as I went onto the deck this morning to greet the sun, I thought to call her Peace Train.

HAPPY & THANKFUL FOR: health (body, mind & spirit), zippy little car, motivation to do better, peaceful world, home base, children are reaching up and out.

a new boat - Norwalk Islands Sharpie 18 "Clancy"

trip west pt 2

Its the day I leave my daughters place with some sadness & begin a solo drive 100+ kilometres south west. I'll skirt desert lands, seek off piste roads if possible & dawdle at cool places. I know that the main highways will not provide. Let's go! But first some exercise & oats.  1000: my daughter pops in for morning tea (her) & breakfast (me). While we sat talking my son called to report that he had scored a full time position with a local fire management mob. This is huge, his first independent job since finishing homeschooling some years earlier. This news buoys my mood for the day; having him at home will lessen my responsibilities feeding pets & remaining close to home. After I motored almost across the state, my daughter calls to report that her seniors have asked her to apply for several positions on Council that she might prefer.
