life

Its 0528hrs & the microbat who lives in the untrimmed window frame by my bed is noisily returning to roost for the day.
I checked in with Mia last night 48 hrs post separation, & while I hear her anguish, I know it will pass. She will grow, she will harden, she will soften, she will learn. She is thinking of moving into the caravan park for water & power & privacy.

My Forester's new panels are at a warehouse in Penrith, I heard last evening. No time to mentally prepare for the confusing array of roads, freeways, tollways & tunnels. My CD player packed it in on my way from Adelaide, so I can't listen to Cloudstreet for the umpteenth time. But net coverage with podcasts should get me by. May be i'll go tomorrow?
I'm enjoying a warm house at present. The wood gathering is painful as the chainsaw is bitchin for attention. i hit it with the electric sharpener & with fresh chainbar oil, it should do better. Of course all the wood is wet due to incessant rain over the past few months, that's why I need wood, the hot water needs boosting. I should like to fell a dead tree & kill two birds.

Hondo needs attention too. He's off rego & is running rough. So a change of spark plugs will be a good start. Otherwise I'm bereft of ideas. I can only hope.

1400hrs: mia won the job she wasn't expecting to get. The "big boss" called her personally and in an upbeat chatty vibe gave her high praise. They offered extra quals paid by the employer. It may mean relocating; new opportunities, new social circles & co. She def sounds happier.
mia is on a training week at this place in Orange NSW.

Some days are diamonds!
