OSKO & Waiting for my trike



As I suggested to the Bank Lady, two grey beards with chubby fingers, on either side of Australia & a preference to forget minor details. That's how three different on- line payments failed.  
Then she warned me about OSKO payments. "If you make an error on OSKO it can take 90 days to retrieve your funds". I know that's not exactly right.  It depends on your error type.  If you simply tap the wrong account derails it will bounce back immediately.  But if you send it to a real bogus account ... out will take 90 days.  Don't ask me how I know. 

Anyhoo all this pfaffing about is delaying delivery of my "new" Greenspeed GT5 folding trike with gear changing facilities.  Sorry Hyacinth!

Meanwhile I wrote Tasmanian trike blogger/ vlogger Ant/Tony Cullimore and asked if he had any good triking sites up his sleeves & he referred me to Graham William's Youtube channel.  Oh what a find! Bucket (sorry Hyacinth) loads of long vlogs of rides& tours around London and south east of England. He films everything,  is short on narration & music, just triking,  so it's pretty good stuff.  
In the spirit of gender fairness (no I won't be wearing a frock), I'm also reading a most excellent tour report on CrazyGuyOnABike by Heidi Domeisen. She is a gutsy trike tourer  & her writings feature a refreshingly quirky sense of humour. So get stuffed full of trike stuff. 

The photo above is of Kathryn a wonderfully open hearted trike touring woman from New York USA I believe, & who has traveled extensively (Cuba, Europe, SEAsia, Australia & New Zealand). She has since retired to vanlife after a bout of cancer & older age.

a skin thing?

As a surfer from my childhood years I escalated to surfing most days. If i wasn't surfing I was just going on or out of the surf, or at school or in latter yesrs work. Some school days would see me run home from the beach dripping wet, stuff cereal down & jog to school. At lunch break I would grab a bike & get a surf in.  On my twenties i took up sailing. If I wasn't actually sailing I would be working on my boat getting things ready. I spent two enjoyable winters on the tropical north.  In later life, I've mowed lawns for an income & continued to swim & sail when I can.  As old surfers know, there's a toll on your skin. On the day a gunman nicked ex president Trump's ear the world politcians decried violence as evil, undemocratic & so on, more than 39 people were killed in Palestine. These events highlight mass hypocrisy across the world with regards violence & race.  No one in the media industry will ever mention this hypocrisy.
